Mama's got a brand new rack, part deux

Below is a photograph of the sweet rolls that Mr. Poopie mentioned in his post about our brief visit during my stay in the DC area earlier this week. I thought you might want to see them. The sweet rolls. Of course.

Don’t they look delicious?

Hee. You are so very clever, you.

I suppose it goes without saying, but they look delectable indeed!

I used to bake like that too, but my cakes tend to fall a little now. Maybe I've left them in the oven too long . . .

I found your blog courtesy of El Guapo, with whom I am not acquainted; we simply share a blog-mate, Kim Ayres.

Sinc I used to live in San Francisco (I lived in the Inner Sunset district and worked at UCSF), and happen to have a Cuban brother-in- law, I was interested in your experiences growing up with Cuban parents in the States.

Your blog about your forgotten purse sounds a lot like half of my life. A lot of us do things like that, but not everyone is candid about it. Any woman who can tell a story like that about herself is automatically a member of my club.

catherine - Thanks! I slaved over them ALL day in the kitchen.

pendullum - Hi! Ahh, I'm so happy that you came over AFTER I got my rack...Lord only knows what kind of impression I might have made before!

mary - Hi! Glad you've come on over! My condolences that your sweet rolls go a little flat these days. I suspect that if I keep baking at this rate, the same will happen to mine. Sigh...

Wow, that is impressive baking. I'm still picking my jaw up off of the floor! Nice rolls.
